Why choose a WPATH SOC 8 Certified Therapist?
Certification from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) shows specialized training in caring for transgender and gender-diverse people under WPATH’s Standards of Care — the benchmark for the field. Certified therapists provide evidence-based, culturally competent, and respectful care, and are trained to:
Provide affirming care that prioritizes your well-being and dignity.
Follow mental health best practices, including assessment for gender-affirming medical care.
Ensure informed consent for hormone therapy and surgery under established medical guidelines.
Support you through challenges like discrimination, stigma, and gender dysphoria.
Certification also reflects a commitment to ongoing education, professional development, and high ethical standards.
